Tiny Ninja Theater
A New York Theater Company

Though the name of the company says "whimsical" the site needed to say "whimsical, yet professional." The company, which produces both classical and original works performed by inch-high plastic ninjas and other dime store thespians, wanted an exhaustive source of information about Tiny Ninja Theater (show descriptions, press and reviews, bios, and news), but also wanted the site to be a "Tiny Ninja Theater production" in and of itself. To that end, we developed a Flash game which lets viewers create their own Tiny Ninja scene.

Tiny Ninja Theater has been featured in The New York Times, Playbill Online, The Village Voice, Time Out New York, Stage Directions and American Theater.

SiteSherpa
An Internet media company focused on creating web navigation tools and information

SiteSherpa wanted their new homepage to reflect the aesthetics of the previous homepage's design and color scheme while taking a more clean, elegant, uncluttered approach. The page needed to successfully integrate two disparate elements: a sizable description of the downloadable software, and editorial content including weblog postings and a weekly interview.

We also did a Flash demo of their software.

SiteSherpa was a late victim of the dot-com crash.
Hide/Seek/NYC
A web-based reality game.

Hide/Seek/NYC called for a design which screamed "high-tech tracking device," and presented a large amount of information (including maps, fugitive tracking, diaries, photos, and datafiles, hunter logs, sponsor information, navigation, and basic introductory text) in a way that was easy for the viewer to assimilate.

Hide/Seek/NYC has been featured on NPR's Marketplace, CBS television local news, and in The New York Daily News, Time Out New York, FoxNews.com, and Gannett newspapers across the country.

Opporknockity Tunes
Educational Record Label

This site, aimed at teachers, parents, and kids, needed to be whimsical yet clean, clear, and easy to navigate.
Virtual Ireland
An online community.

For the Virtual Ireland site, the editors wanted a design that was friendly and warm, giving users "the feeling of home." The site was broken into five main channels -- each needed to have a clear, distinct identity while at the same time fitting into a unified whole.

Virtual Ireland has been featured in The Irish Echo, The site's parent company was an early victim of the dot com crash. The Virtual Ireland name was recently bought by a different company.
TheaterSounds
Playreading Series

TheaterSounds performs a monthly reading of either a new or classic play in the Hudson Valley area of New York State. For the website, used both for marketing and to convey information, they asked for a design that was reminicient of a formal invitation, integrating images which evoked the feeling of the Hudson Valley, and containing archives of the previous readings in the series. FictCo also designs the TheaterSounds publicity, including the show images on the site.
